The challenge
The Field Guide Network was originally built as a custom platform for connecting individuals with coaching and mentorship opportunities. However, the website had become outdated, difficult to maintain, and lacked mobile optimization. The platform’s limitations resulted in a frustrating experience for both users and administrators, requiring frequent technical intervention for even minor updates.
To fully realize its mission, the Field Guide Network needed a complete overhaul. The goal was to modernize the site’s infrastructure, improve accessibility across devices, and streamline content management, all while enhancing the platform’s look and feel.
The approach
We focused on performance, usability, and scalability in the redevelopment. A responsive web design ensured accessibility across all devices, while a re-engineered backend improved efficiency and reduced maintenance demands. We also integrated a more intuitive content management system (CMS), empowering administrators to update content without relying on technical support. Additionally, the user interface was redesigned to be more engaging and user-friendly, making it easier for users to connect with coaching resources and community support.
Through these strategic upgrades, the Field Guide Network evolved into a state-of-the-art platform designed to facilitate meaningful connections, mentorship, and growth.
The Result
Redevelopment transformed user experience and administrative workflow.
The revitalized Field Guide Network delivered tangible results. Users gained a responsive, engaging experience, while administrators benefited from efficient content management via the new CMS, reducing technical dependency. The platform is now faster, stable, and fully aligned with the network’s mission.
